My friend wants to put internet up on her television. She doesn’t know to much about computers in general and certainly not anything about how to arrange what she wants here. So I’m looking to give her some links or some simple step by step instructions on how to achieve this. She has a digital television and a Gateway desktop computer that is running Windows XP. Why am I hearing television/radio sounds on my computer?

I have a direct 100mb connection for Verizon dsl; it’s an HP PC. I also have the Verizon package (television, phone, internet, etc.) In the middle of the day my computer starts emitting random commercials and radio broadcasts out of the speakers. I tried disconnecting the internet, and then tried directly pulling the receiving plug, but the sounds continue. They stop randomly as well.

What is happening? Do I have a virus?
