What’s the quickest and easiest way to land a recurring, good-paying job on television or radio?

Getting on television or radio is a dream of mine and somehow getting a recurring role. Id like to be actor, announcer, etc. Anything on television. However, I do not live in an area like Miami Florida where I can just walk to an audition and get somewhere. I live in Wisconsin so I am kind of forced to use the internet. I have been e-mailing back and forth to different things on the internet that shows want people for, for the longest time. Perhaps, over a year now. Nothing has worked and I am getting very frustrated and stressed out. Do you know of anything else I could do? Or have u heard of any sites that are good (THAT… by the way, don’t require payments)? Please don’t suggest anything having to do with college either because college didn’t work for me and I am not interested in that.
trying to get on Radio was even worse, with every annoying radio person telling me that I would have to work my way up and start in some years in college?
